"Reach" is the manufacturer's rated floor area per charge for cordless robots and the longest pool a corded robot is rated for. Cordless and corded figures aren't directly comparable — see corded vs cordless and how coverage ratings work.

Specs are manufacturer ratings from Amazon listings and spec sheets. Prices are typical US street prices as of October 2026 and change often.

Runtime and value at a glance

Rated runtime per charge (cordless robots)Hours of floor cleaning on a full battery, as stated by the manufacturer. Corded robots run as long as they're plugged in.

Real runtime is shorter with wall climbing, a dirty filter or cold water. Tap a bar for the manufacturer's exact wording.

Highest-rated robots

#1 · Top rated
Beatbot AquaSense 2
  • Cordless
  • Up to 4 hr
  • Floor + Walls + Waterline

Most in-ground pool owners who want a true cordless robot that cleans the floor, walls and waterline and parks itself at the surface.

  • Cleans floor, walls and waterline — the three surfaces most cordless budget robots skip
  • Auto surface parking plus app "call back" means you rarely fish it out from the bottom
  • Rated for pools up to ~3,230 sq ft on one charge
  • No surface skimming — leaves floating on top still need a net or a skimmer robot
Price tier: Mid-range, $500–$1,000today's price on Amazon
#2 · Top rated
Beatbot AquaSense 2 Ultra
  • Cordless
  • Up to 5 hr
  • Floor + Walls + Waterline + Surface

Large, complex or leaf-heavy in-ground pools where you want one robot to clean the floor, walls, waterline and surface with AI mapping.

  • The only robot here that cleans all four zones: floor, walls, waterline and the water surface
  • AI vision mapping with obstacle and plant-debris detection for multi-level and freeform pools
  • Longest rated runtime in this group (up to ~10 hours skimming)
  • $2,500+ buys a lot of pool service — the value case needs a big or messy pool
Price tier: Flagship, over $2,000today's price on Amazon
#3 · Top rated
Beatbot Sora 30
  • Cordless
  • Up to 5 hr
  • Floor + Walls + Waterline

Pools with tanning ledges, steps or shallow sun shelves, where most robots leave you doing manual touch-ups.

  • Platform and shallow-area cleaning down to about 8 inches handles ledges that trip up cheaper robots
  • 300-minute battery covers up to ~3,229 sq ft per charge
  • 6,800 GPH suction and a large 5 L basket — fewer mid-cycle stops with leaves
  • No surface skimming (the Sora 70 adds that)
Price tier: Mid-range, $500–$1,000today's price on Amazon
#4 · Top rated
Beatbot Sora 10
  • Cordless
  • Up to 5 hr
  • Floor + Walls + Waterline

Buyers who want a waterline-cleaning cordless robot from a premium brand without paying $800 or more.

  • Floor, wall and waterline cleaning at under $500 — rare in cordless
  • 300-minute battery and ~3,229 sq ft rated coverage is far above other robots at this price
  • 5 L basket (Beatbot says roughly 650 leaves) and 6,800 GPH suction
  • No surface skimming and no AI mapping
Price tier: Budget, under $500today's price on Amazon
#5 · Top rated
Aiper Scuba S3
  • Cordless
  • Up to 4 hr
  • Floor + Walls + Waterline

In-ground pool owners who care most about water clarity and want 3-micron fine filtration in a light, one-hand-liftable cordless robot.

  • Dual-stage filtration with a 3 µm ultra-fine insert captures dust and sand that 150–180 µm baskets miss
  • Light at 18 lbs — one of the easier cordless robots to lift out
  • Waterline scrubbing reaches about 2 inches above the water line
  • Brand-new listing (~110 Amazon reviews) — no multi-season track record
Price tier: Mid-range, $500–$1,000today's price on Amazon
#6 · Top rated
Betta SE Plus Solar Skimmer
  • Solar skimmer
  • 30+ hr solar
  • Surface

Pools that collect leaves, pollen, bugs and pet hair on the surface and need skimming every day without running the pump harder.

  • Runs on solar with an adapter backup — 30+ hours on a charge
  • Large fine-mesh basket (200 µm) catches pollen, insects and pet hair
  • Twin salt-chlorine-tolerant motors and UV-resistant coating
  • Surface only — it does not vacuum the floor or climb walls
Price tier: Budget, under $500today's price on Amazon

How to read this chart

Type separates corded, cordless and solar skimmer robots — different tools for different jobs (see corded vs cordless).Runtime is hours per charge for cordless robots; corded ones run as long as they're plugged in.Cleans lists the surfaces each robot is built for: floor, walls, waterline and water surface.Reach is the manufacturer's rated floor area per charge (cordless) or the longest pool a corded robot is rated for; treat it as a ceiling, not a promise (how coverage ratings work). Not sure what fits? The robot matcher narrows the list for your pool.

FAQ

Which robotic pool cleaner has the best specs in 2026?
By our research-based score, the Beatbot AquaSense 2 currently ranks highest (8.7/10), but the best robot for you depends on pool type, size, debris and budget. Sort the table by the spec that matters most, or use the robot matcher.
What is the difference between a corded and a cordless pool robot?
Corded robots (like the Dolphin Nautilus line) plug into a poolside power supply and run as long as you want, with strong suction and a proven record. Cordless robots (Beatbot, Aiper, Wybot) run on a rechargeable battery for roughly 1.5–5 hours, with no cord to manage and newer models that also clean the waterline.
Do I need a skimmer robot or a vacuum robot?
A vacuum robot cleans the floor and (usually) the walls. A solar skimmer only handles the surface: leaves, pollen, bugs. If trees drop debris on your pool, many owners run both. If you only get a little surface debris, a vacuum robot alone is usually enough.
